wintergreen resort map

Loveland Ski Area is a top Colorado ski and snowboard destination high above the Continental Divide. The resort horseshoes around the Eisenhower Tunnel on the east side of the Divide, offering skiers and riders a huge choice of terrain to explore.

The Ridge

Loveland's expert, advanced and proficient skiing and snowboarding are accessible high up on Mount Loveland by Chair 9. You'll find The Ridge, a vast selection of wide open bowls in the alpine with lots of bumps and steeps.

You will also find many steep, challenging gullies throughout the Ridge. These gullies can be traversed depending on the conditions.

Basin

The majority of Loveland's ski and snowboard terrain is found in the basin. The basin is home to 6 of the 8 lifts, and 85% of the 1,800 acres of skiable terrain.

This is the largest of the two areas that comprise Loveland. It is home to all of Loveland's ski schools, bars and restaurants as well the rental shops and sports shops.

The Rathskeller, which is the largest après-ski bar on the mountain, can also be found here. It's situated right by the Loveland Deli. After a long day of skiing, it's the perfect place for a hot drink or a cold beer!

Ski school is available to help beginners get started in the sport. The Loveland Valley is separate from the Basin. It is a great place for beginners to learn their first turns away of more experienced skiers and snowboarders.

Loveland is an excellent choice for skiers and riders, and is a local favorite. You'll find the prices lower than many other popular spots in the state, making it a great choice for families with young kids.

Spillway & Lift 2 are two of the areas where the snowmaking team has made significant progress in recent nights. They should be ready to open the bottom half by this weekend.

Opening Day was an overwhelming success! It was amazing to be out on the mountain with so many people and to enjoy the new trails.

Loveland saw a few more inches of snow fall this week. Things are looking up. Tomorrow's Mountain Ops meeting should provide some more information about terrain openings. We'll keep you posted!

Another storm is expected this weekend and we are hoping to get some more snow in on the upper mountain. We are currently making snow across 240 acres. Our goal is to complete snowmaking by early December.

This is Loveland's first ever snowfall in a very long time.

It was Loveland's first day of skiing. It was an excellent way to begin the season, with 18 inches of base snow and a run that stretches over a mile.
